Junior Research Fellow Position

Applications are invited from the Indian Nationals for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in research project funded by the Ministry of Mines, New Delhi at Manipal University Jaipur (MUJ) with the following details:

  • Title of the Project :Development of Ready-To-Use Assorted Sand for Construction Activities from Zinc Refining Wastes and Marble Powder (Phase -2)
  • Principal Investigator :Dr. Bhavna Tripathi, Director School of Civil & Chemical Engineering, Manipal University Jaipur
  • Project position :JRF (01)
  • Qualification :(i) B. Tech in Civil Engineering with 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA (on a 10-point scale) in UG.
    OR
    (ii) M. Tech in Structural Engineering with 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA (on a 10-point scale) in UG and PG.
    2. Knowledge of concrete mix design procedure and related testing methods.
  • Age limit :Not more than 30 years
  • Desirable :GATE qualified.
    Proficiency in English language.
    Experience in designing concrete mixes and testing durability of concrete.
    Publications in peer-reviewed journals and conferences.
  • Duration :The appointment will be purely temporary on contract basis with an initial appointment for a period of one year, which may be extended solely based on candidate's performance for another one year or project completion date, whichever is earlier.
  • Fellowship :Rs. 25,000/- per month, plus 16% HRA for qualifications as per Sl. No. 1 (i).
    Rs. 31,000/- per month, plus 16% HRA for qualifications as per Sl. No. 1 (ii).

Candidates may note:

  • Selection committee of Manipal University Jaipur (MUJ) reserves the right to fix suitable criteria for shortlisting of eligible candidates.
  • Applications with incomplete details will not be shortlisted for interview.
  • Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interview.
  • The date and time of interview will be informed via email.
  • The above fellowship is purely temporary and will terminate automatically without any notice or compensation or termination of the research project. An undertaking to the effect must be given by the student at the time of joining, if selected.
  • The selected candidate may be assigned to perform any other duties time to time commensurate with his/her qualifications.
  • The selected candidate should opt for Ph.D. at MUJ (announced twice a year) as per provision in the above research area after fulfilling the required criteria for PhD admission.
  • No TA/DA is admissible for attending the interview or at the time of joining the post.
