Scholarships

With the objective of encouraging meritorious students and academic excellence, the following categories of scholarships are offered to deserving students of I year of their respective programs. Students can continue to avail these scholarships in their higher semester by maintaining the requisite result. The quantum and number of scholarships will be displayed on the website every year. Last date of submission of application for all the categories would be notified after admission process is over.

1. TMA Pai Engineering Scholarships

12. Smt. Vasanti R Pai PG Merit Scholarship/Fellowship

This scholarship is offered for students seeking admission in the postgraduate programs of the university from the academic session 2025-26 onwards. The number of sanctioned seats and the available scholarships for each program are detailed below in three parts/sections 4(a), 4(b) and 4(c) respectively.

Guidelines for Scholarships in MBA Programs

The Scholarship is to be awarded in MBA and MBA (Business Analytics) programs as per the following criteria:

A total of 45 scholarships will be provided in the MBA Program and 15 scholarships will be provided in the MBA Business Analytics program as per the below criteria:

  • 50% fee waiver for students securing 85 percentile and above in CAT/XAT or 95 percentile and above in MAT/CMAT/ATMA, or with an Undergraduate CGPA of 8.5 and above.
  • 40% fee waiver for students securing 75 – 84.99 percentile in CAT/XAT or 85 – 94.99 percentile in MAT/CMAT/ATMA, or with an Undergraduate CGPA of 8.0 – 8.4.
  • 30% fee waiver for students securing 65 – 74.99 percentile in CAT/XAT or 75 – 84.99 percentile in MAT/CMAT/ATMA, or with an Undergraduate CGPA of 7.0 – 7.9.
  • 20% fee waiver for students securing 60 – 64.99 percentile in CAT/XAT or 70 – 74.99 percentile in MAT/CMAT/ATMA, or with an Undergraduate CGPA of 6.0 – 6.9.

All scholarships will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis, based on tuition fee payment.

Additional Scholarships

  • Students with more than 02 years of work experience are eligible for an additional 10% scholarship on tuition fees.
  • Alumni of Manipal University Jaipur (MUJ) with an undergraduate CGPA of 7.5 or higher are eligible for an additional 20% scholarship on tuition fees

Example Scenario: – A student who graduated from MUJ, achieved a CGPA of 8.5 or higher in their undergraduate studies, and has at least two years of work experience would be eligible for an 80% of scholarship on tuition fee.

General Note:

  • To continue the Smt. Vasanti R Pai PG Merit Scholarship/Fellowship in successive years, a student must maintain a CGPA of 7.5 or above in each academic year separately
  • The Smt. Vasanti R Pai PG Merit Scholarship/Fellowship will be available starting from the 2025-26 session.

  • Only full-time research scholars admitted in Ph D program are eligible to apply for Dr Ramdas Pai scholarship.
  • Duration of Scholarship – Maximum 3 years from the date of registration.

  • Scholars with CSIR/UGC NET-JRF or DBT/ICMR JRF or engaged in an EMR project/scheme of any funding agency as a JRF/SRF/RA/Project Fellow in the university will not be eligible for this scholarship.
  • In an academic year (August to July) total 20 scholarship will be given (10 in each semester).
  • If a scholar withdraws form the scholarship or his/her tenure is completed, the same can be given to other scholar by following the procedure in the next semester.
  • For scholarship, a candidate will be called for a personal interview by the Directorate of Research in the starting of the academic session. Director (Research) will then convene the interview committee meeting for evaluation and distribution of the scholarship.
  • Note: All full-time scholars are provided support to attend and present their findings in conferences whose proceedings are Scopus/WoS indexed. Up to ₹30,000 can be claimed in their entire duration (one-time).

13. Scholarship for “Differently-Abled” students

Scholarships will be given to the students with sport’s background having more than 45% aggregate marks in 12th standard as per the following criteria:
  • Scholarship Category A : If either State Champion or has participated at recognized National/ All India Inter-University (AIU) level sports competitions.
  • Scholarship Category B : If won Silver/Bronze Medal at recognized National/ All India Inter-University (AIU) level sports competitions.
  • Scholarship Category C : If won Gold Medal at National /All India Inter- University (AIU) level sports competitions.
  • Scholarship Category D : If represented the country at recognized international level sports competitions.
To continue to get the scholarship, the student should not have a backlog, failing which the scholarship for next academic year would be withdrawn.
Note : All sports scholarships are thoroughly verified and checked by the Directorate of Sports and their dedicated team. This ensures that the selection process is fair, transparent, and based on merit.

 

Please note the following in the context of all the above scholarships:

  • Students must apply through the proper channel and clearly specify the type of scholarship they are applying for.
  • A student may apply for only one type of scholarship per academic session.
  • Scholarships are granted only for the actual/minimum duration of the enrolled program.
  • Any reported case of indiscipline will result in the immediate termination of the scholarship.
  • All preferences in admissions and scholarship awards are subject to approval by the competent authority. This applies to all scholarships.
  • The award of all scholarships is contingent upon final approval by the competent authority.
  • Scholarship details will be communicated at the time of admission. The scholarship amount will be refunded upon payment of the course fee (excluding the TMA Pai Engineering Scholarship).
  • In case of any dispute, the decision of the President, MUJ, shall be final and binding.
  • Students must maintain the required academic performance each year without any backlogs. Failure to meet eligibility criteria will result in permanent discontinuation of the scholarship for the remainder of the program.
  • All required documents must be submitted at the time of application. No additional documents will be requested later, and decisions will be based solely on the submitted documents. No claims will be entertained afterwards.
