Master of Science (Biotechnology)
OVERVIEW
MSc Biotechnology program at MUJ aims to produce graduates who would have scientific knowledge, technical skills and expertise. The program is designed with conceptual understanding imparted in cutting-edge areas of science and technology. Emphasis is also laid on formal training in applied science, keeping in mind the growing demand for a trained biotechnologist. This program is unique at MUJ as it exposes the students to all areas of basic and applied Biotechnology, which will help students to choose the academic or industry path after completing the course.The course structure is based on core subjects & emerging technology, where students learn biotechnology and are taught necessary basic subjects for that purpose. The course has been specifically structured to impart concepts pertaining to advanced areas of research in plant biotechnology and different areas of bioScience. Laboratory exercise comprises a major component of this programme, enabling students to acquire technical aptitude. Therefore, a graduate of this program may be expected to have both the specialized knowledge and practical experience required to creatively address contemporary problems in research and industry.
