Head, Department of Biotechnology and Chemical Engineering

Dr Manisha Sharma has earned her B.E. in Biotechnology from Rajasthan University, followed by an M. Tech. in Chemical Engineering with a Gold Medal and a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Malaviya National Institute of Technology Jaipur. With over 09 years of teaching experience, she has been an integral part of Manipal University Jaipur since 2015.

Dr. Sharma’s research spans adsorption technology, sustainable water treatment, and bioprocess engineering. She secures a SERB POWER Research Grant worth ₹27.5 lakhs and has more than 11 quality publications and a patent to her credit. She is currently supervising two PhD scholars. Dr. Sharma’s dedication to academic and professional development is evident through her active participation in workshops, conferences, and faculty development programs. She has taken on multiple leadership roles, including Program Coordinator for B.Tech. (Biotechnology), Department UG Coordinator and Department Exam coordinator. She is also serving as the Joint Secretary, Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers – Jaipur Regional Center (IIChE-JRC) and Joint Treasurer, Indian Desalination Association (InDA).
