Dr Roheet Bhatnagar is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, School of Computer Science and Engineering. He did his Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Computer Science and Masters in Remote Sensing from Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Ranchi in the year 1997 and 2004 respectively and his PhD is in Engineering in the Software Engineering domain from Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology (SMIT), Sikkim - a constituent institute of Sikkim Manipal University, Sikkim, India. in 2011.

Dr Roheet is associated with Manipal group since 2008 and has 27 years of varied experience in teaching and research including 5 years of industry experience with software arms of Samsung and Xerox corporation. He has been associated with MUJ since 2012 and have served under various capacities such as Director Research (October 2020 till December 2024), Head of Department of CSE (February 2013 till March 2017), Coordinator Alumni Cell (2015-2018), Coordinator International Programmes (2016-2018), Assistant Controller of Examinations (2013) and has contributed towards the development of processes and streamlining existing ones for optimality and efficiency. He is a Senior Member - IEEE, life members Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE), Indian Society of Remote Sensing (ISRS), Computer Society of India, IAENG and has published more than 100 research papers in reputed Scopus/WoS indexed Journals/Conference Proceedings/Book series and co-edited 7 Scopus indexed books. He has given a number of invited talks, lectures and key notes in FDPs, conferences & seminars both within as well as outside the country.
