Master of Science (Biotechnology)
OVERVIEW
The MSc Biotechnology program at MUJ aims to produce graduates with scientific knowledge, technical skills, and expertise. The program is designed to impart conceptual understanding in cutting-edge areas of science and technology. Emphasis is also placed on formal training in applied science, keeping in mind the growing demand for trained biotechnologists. This program is unique at MUJ as it exposes students to all areas of basic and applied Biotechnology, helping them choose an academic or industry path after completing the course. The course structure is based on core subjects & emerging technology, where students learn biotechnology and are taught the necessary basic subjects for that purpose. The course has been specifically structured to impart concepts pertaining to advanced areas of research in plant biotechnology and different areas of biosciences. Laboratory exercises comprise a major component of this programme, enabling students to acquire technical aptitude. Therefore, a graduate of this program may be expected to have both the specialized knowledge and practical experience required to creatively address contemporary problems in research and industry.
