When the entire world is fighting against the global issue of the COVID-19 pandemic, our actions to deal with our heritage too need a transformation. In the wake of growing coronavirus outbreak it is significant to know and understand how to incorporate post pandemic planning for urban heritage.
School of Architecture and Design, Manipal University Jaipur, has proposed a webinar on ‘Heritage Management of Historic Cities in India – A Case Study of Jaipur and Ahmedabad’ to deliberate upon the post pandemic ways and solutions to manage our urban heritage. The coronavirus crisis shall dramatically reshape cities around the world, not to exclude the heritage precincts and settlements within the larger urban limits. India, is one such nation that has already been facing challenges with urban heritage management. Our speakers shall share their experiences and throw light on way forward for dealing with current and future situations through case examples of the World Heritage Cities of Jaipur and Ahmedabad.
