It is to determine the relative depth of groundwater around Manipal University Jaipur.

PARTICLE SIZE IMPLICATION TO GROUNDWATER

HYDROGEOLOGY Dr Harshavardhana B G SHUBHAM GOYAL ASTITVA SHARMA

Surficial soil samples from 25 different locations in Jaipur were collected to achieve the objective of investigation. Particle size analysis to determine percentages of sand, silt and clay followed by the removal of organic matter and carbonate content was carried out in the laboratory. The obtained data were correlated with the rainfall and groundwater depth data of the corresponding locations, obtained from the Central Groundwater Board, Jaipur, Rajasthan. Results of the particle size analysis were used to generate the distribution maps of sand %, silt % and clay % across Jaipur district.
