M Tech Energy Science and Technology is a 2 year post graduate degree course in which a student gets the in-depth knowledge of various facets of energy. The focus of the program lies in the concept of power generation through a nonconventional route. As the reservoirs of conventional form of energy such as coal & oil are at the brink of ending, the major portion of global energy requirement is to be met through alternate forms of energy such as solar, wind energy, biomass etc. The alternate form of energy usage not only meets the major energy requirement but also addresses global emission concern. The program connects the various forms of energy and their importance in our lives and for the development of our nation. This program is a unique multidisciplinary program with solution for the energy crisis as well as environmental concern.
The overall mission of M.Tech in Energy Science and Technology at Manipal University Jaipur is to produce industry ready energy professionals for the growth of India’s energy sector and provide innovative energy technologies and systems to mitigate the global problem of climate change. The course aims at teaching the students about the efficient production, management, and utilization of energy resources and this is done through various theoretical and practical courses. Students who are interested in working on energy generation and utilization especially renewable energy sources; energy audit, conservation, and management; environmental
pollution in solid, liquid and gaseous forms waste, then this is the right choice of selecting Manipal University Jaipur to study for them.
It is a unique multidisciplinary program which will cater a variety of industries including, renewable energy, waste management, energy storage, and environmental engineering etc. All of these areas are high in demand globally and this proposed program can cater the need well. The scope of employment after completing this master’s degree is very big as Energy Engineers. Government is going to lay a lot of stress on renewable energy sources and their best potential.
At least 50% aggregate marks in any branch of Engineering or master’s degree in Energy/Physics/Chemistry/Environment Science/ Environment Engineering.
