The Department of Psychology, Faculty of Health Sciences, organized a two-day workshop on Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) with hands-on training using AMOS and SmartPLS for Ph.D. scholars on 5th and 6th of November 2025. The workshop aimed to enhance participants’ conceptual understanding and practical data analysis competencies in SEM—an advanced statistical technique widely used in social science, management, and behavioral research.
Dr. Manoj Kumar Dash, from IITM Gwalior, was the esteemed resource person for the workshop. Dr. Dash is a renowned academician and researcher in the field of quantitative research methodologies. His expertise and engaging facilitation significantly enriched the workshop.
Across the two days, the sessions were carefully structured to integrate theoretical clarity with hands-on application. The key topics covered included:
Dr. Dash’s interactive teaching methodology, supported with step-by-step demonstrations, enabled participants to work directly on datasets, thereby strengthening their applied skills. The sessions encouraged reflective learning, conceptual clarity, and independent practice. The workshop witnessed enthusiastic participation from Ph.D. scholars and faculty members. The scholars actively engaged in discussions, raised relevant methodological queries, and participated in practical exercises.
