World Environment Day celebration (Bamboo Plantation)

The School of Architecture & Design, under the Faculty of Science, Technology & Architecture, in collaboration with the IGBC Student chapter, Manipal University Jaipur, organized a bamboo plantation event at 9:30 AM on June 5, 2025, at the construction yard of MUJ Campus. India is the second-largest producer of bamboo in the world, and it holds significant potential for reducing our carbon footprint. Bamboo significantly contributes to soil health and carbon sequestration, helping to mitigate the effects of climate change. Additionally, it grows very fast, making it an excellent resource for sustainable development. To create awareness of bamboo All MUJ faculty, non-faculty, and supporting staff were invited. Dr. Nitu Bhatnagar Provost, Dr. Amit Soni, Registrar, Dr. Kuldip Singh Sangwan, Dean FoSTA and Prof. (Dr.) Madhura Yadav, Dean of student welfare. Other leaders, faculty members, and supporting staff participated. A total of ten bamboo trees were planted.
