Educational visit for students of M.Sc. (Clinical Psychology)

The Department of Psychology organized a field visit for master's students on February 4th, 2025. A group of 30 students, along with Dr. Meenakshi Joshi and Dr. Gargi Sharma, visited Bhargava Psychiatry, De-Addiction & General Hospital in Jaipur, focusing on the hospital's psychiatry department. The visit provided students with the opportunity to observe psychologists in action and attend talks by doctor's bout their careers. Students learned practical approaches to patient interaction, including how to conduct patient interviews and gather case histories. The primary goal of the visit was to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world clinical practice. A significant highlight was the visit to the addiction centre, where a clinical psychologist gave a detailed explanation of case formulation and therapeutic intervention, offering invaluable insights into the treatment process.
