One Day International Conference Breaking Barriers: Empowering Women Entrepreneurs and Fostering Gender Parity

The Department of Business Administration, School of Business, Commerce, and Arts (FoMCA) successfully organized a One Day International Conference titled "Breaking Barriers: Empowering Women Entrepreneurs and Fostering Gender Parity" on February 14, 2025. The conference was held in a hybrid mode and was sponsored by ICSSR, New Delhi, under the Viksit Bharat Scheme.

The event started with lightning of lamp followed by Saraswati Vandana. Guest were welcome by presentment of memento followed by welcome speech by Deputy head of the Department of Business Administration Dr. Naresh Kedia. Words of wisdom were shared by Dr. Sheenu Jhanwar highlighting her thoughts on Womanhood, Gender Parity, opportunities available for women. Keynote Address was given by Dr Atul Parvatiyar and Dr Melese Waktola through video conferencing mode. Dr Atul shared his thought that women Entrepreneur shape and help develop community. Dr Waktola was of the view that we need to build a society where women get opportunity to put their ideas into action.

After the inaugural session, panel discussion was organised on the topic "Barriers to Advancements of Women Entrepreneurs which was moderated by Dr. Naresh Kedia, Deputy head of the Department of Business Administration. Successful tips were shared by Mr. Nitin Bassi , Ms Alka Batra, Ms Meeta Mathur, Mr Tushar Chanderbhan Saini, Dr. Alka Gaur, Dr Sandeep Joshi

The 5 technical sessions were conducted, where insightful discussions took place on various research papers. Participants from different institutions actively engaged in meaningful deliberations, enriching the conference with their valuable inputs.
