FDP aimed to enhance the knowledge and expertise of faculty members in the evolving domain of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and how to blend Artificial Intelligence based tools and techniques for its applications in teaching, learning and research.
Expert speaker of day one, Dr. Bhupendra Kumar Verma, Director (Data Strategy & Architecture), Compunnel Technology India Pvt. Ltd. addressing on "Role of Artificial Intelligence in re-shaping teaching, learning and research" emphasized the scope of AI/ML and how digital transformation in various domains including Management, Commerce and Arts are establishing opportunities in research. Dr. Verma discussed how digital transformation is fueled by evolving technologies, processes, analytics and talent to create new value and experiences for customers, employees and stakeholders. During discussion with participants, Dr. Verma brought out how AI is transforming research and value creation possibilities are emerging from collaborative technologies.
In the beginning, Dr. Naresh Kedia, Deputy HOD gave the inaugural welcome address, Dr. Meenu Mathur, Assistant Professor, Manipal University Jaipur introduced the guest speaker to the august gathering of faculty members and research scholars and Dr. Alpa Sethi, Assistant Professor, Manipal University Jaipur proposed Vote of Thanks.
Expert speaker of day two, Dr. Pooja Kushwaha, Professor, Business Analytics, Jaipuria Institute of Management, Indore addressing on "AI-Powered Teaching and Learning Strategies" emphasized the role of Artificial Intelligence in education and research. Dr. Kushwaha discussed how various AI tools can impact student learning and AI driven teaching innovations. She introduced the concepts of PAIR framework and prompt engineering which helped develop the understanding of optimally leveraging AI tools for getting the desired output.While interacting with participants, Dr. Pooja Kushwaha also gave hands on experience on various AI based tools of Generative AI including ChatGPT, Claude AI, Kimi, and AI tools for research like Research Rabbit, Elicit, Semantic Scholar.
Expert speaker of day three, Mr. Kartik A V, Senior Associate - Data Science at UNext Learning, Banglore addressing on "AI-based tools and techniques for Content Creation" laid emphasis on leveraging Artificial Intelligence based tools and techniques for creating educational content. Mr. Kartik explained in detail how the prompts need to be given to these AI LLMs (Large Language Models) and GPTs. He said to create the best content we all need to enhance our skills of prompting which involves understanding of many aspects of prompts. Mr. Kartik showed how leveraging the output of prompt given to ChatGPT can be again given to Copilot such that as an example Copilot generated entire brand with many marketing and branding strategies, illustrating various supportive graphs and heatmaps.
Mr. Kartik showcased various tools for generating various kinds of content including Text, Images, Audio, Video etc. Mr. Kartik showcased development of PowerPoint using Gamma app, Lettrebot.ai for creating e-mail, DALL-E for image creation. While interacting with participants, Mr. Kartik also gave hands on experience on various AI based tools of Generative AI including ChatGPT, deepseek chat, Gemini, Gamma, Co-pilot, Midjourney.ai, Letterbot.ai
Expert speaker of day four, Dr. Ashoka Choudhary, Academician, Researcher & Edu-tech Trainer, Banglore addressing FDP participants explained AI Tools for Sentiment Analysis. Dr. Choudhary while discussing how ssentiment analysis is crucial for business insights influence marketing decisions and to understand customer emotions better.
As AI tools are evolving with more accuracy and multilingual support, she introduced few AI tools including IBM Watson NLU,Microsoft Azure Text Analytics, MonkeyLearn, TextRazor, VaderSentiment and ParallelDots, Lexalytics (Semantria).
While interacting with participants, Dr. Choudhary also gave hands on experience on various AI based tools of Tweet Sentiment data analysis using Dashboard in Jupyter.Dr. Choudhary illustrated how Sentiment Analysis can be conducted such that Python code can be generated using ChatGPT and then can be inserted in Jupyter Vander Sentiment for the output. which Classifies feedback as Positive, Negative, or Neutral using NLP models. Dr. Choudhary also illustrated how text data and emoji and exclamation marks data can be used for sentiment analysis
Expert speaker of day five, Dr. Jolly Masih is Associate Professor and Scientist in Business Analytics and Marketing at BML Munjal University, Gurugram addressing FDP participants on "AI tools in Research and Academic Writing" brought out how AI is rapidly transforming academia and research. AI tools like ChatGPT, Jenni AI and Scite AI are becoming increasingly popular among researchers. Dr. Masih explained how these tools offer a range of functionalities from generating text and proofreading to analyzing research impact. During an interactive session, she took participants for a hands on experience on various tools and showcased how scholars can enhance efficiency and productivity in academic writing.
