An Alumni Talk on CHEMICAL ENGINEERING BEYOND CLASSROOM

Manipal University Jaipur has organized an offline event under the banner of Alumni-Talk-a-thon 2.0 in association with Directorate of Alumni Relations on 18th November 2024 at 02:00 PM to 02:40 PM. The event was organized by Department of Biotechnology and Chemical Engineering. The event was specifically designed for Biotechnology and Chemical Engineering students who want to interact with their seniors. Ms. Pratiksha Mohanty was the key speaker and Dr. Abhay Dinker was the convener of the event.

Ms. Pratiksha Mohanty discussed her journey from university to professional in an multi national company. She discussed various objectives which a student should focus on, including: 1.) Knowledge - She mentioned knowledge should not be limited to book knowledge but to practical knowledge about us. 2.) Discipline - She mentioned to students about discipline in work is an important criterion. 3.) Skills - She told students to develop skills as most of the companies focus on skill set of the students. 4.) Communication - She mentioned that communications and way of communicating your ideas are very important in securing and excel in a workplace.

Apart from this she mentioned her journey in the Manipal University Jaipur and encourage students to enjoy this time of B.Tech keeping focus on the excellence of their academics.

At the end of the lecture Ms. Mohanty is facilitated by a gift from Manipal University Jaipur which is given by Dr. Manisha Sharma.

Later, Students took time from Ms. Mohanty for their personal interaction and queries.
