Junior Research Fellow requirement in Department of Chemical Engineering

Applications are invited for the position of Junior Research Fellow to work in a societally relevant and industry-interconnected DST-Waste Management Technologies Project DST/TDT/WM/2019/62(G), titled "Conversion of urban solid waste at distributed level into value added products". The position details are given below:

  • Positions :One (1)
  • Qualification(s) :M. Tech. in Chemical or other related fields of engineering AND B.Tech. in Chemical or other related fields of engineering
  • Responsibilities :Solid Waste such as MSW and Biomass Treatment using Thermochemical Techniques: Reactor/process modelling using CFD and associated simulation techniques, along with techno-economic analysis. Hands-on experience with CFD or similar in a simulation project is required. Candidate to work closely with experimental team in MUJ, followed by aiding in scale-up, setting up and operations of a pilot-scale facility. Candidate expected to enrol for a PhD programme at MUJ for the project duration.
  • Fellowship :As per DST norms, with emoluments being Rs 31,000 + HRA p.m. for first two years, with annual performance review, and hiked to Rs 35,000 + HRA p.m. based on satisfactory performance (The relevant DST notification may be perused for further details and norms).
  • Duration :Initially for one year and can be extended up to two more years subjected to the satisfactory performance of the candidate assessed every year.
