Job Overview
The Deputy/Assistant Manager - Quality & Compliance will support the development and implementation of quality assurance initiatives, accreditation processes, and institutional benchmarking activities. This role is vital in assisting the Quality Directorate to maintain regulatory compliance, institutional excellence, and continuous improvement across academic and administrative functions. The ideal candidate will collaborate with internal stakeholders and contribute to enhancing institutional performance in alignment with national and international standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Quality Assurance & Institutional Excellence:
- Assist in drafting, updating, and implementing SOPs, quality policies, and process frameworks for academic and non-academic units.
- Support in conducting internal audits, and feedback mechanisms to drive continuous improvement.
- Contribute to the preparation of the Institutional Strategic Plan and progress monitoring.
- Accreditation & Compliance:
- Support and maintain accreditation documentation and compliance reports. (e.g. NAAC, NBA, UGC, AICTE, and other regulatory bodies).
- Help compile self-study reports, compliance files, and evidence for periodic submissions.
- Prepare and submit reports, self-study documents, and compliance documentation for accreditation agencies.
- Institutional Rankings & Benchmarking:
- Develop strategies to improve the university\'s position in global and national ranking frameworks (QS World University Rankings, THE Rankings, NIRF, etc.).
- Conduct comparative analysis with peer institutions and assist in identifying areas for performance improvement.
- Data Management & Reporting:
- Collect, analyse, and interpret data on academic performance, faculty credentials, research output, and student satisfaction.
- Prepare and present data-driven insights, dashboards, and visual reports for internal reviews and strategic planning.
Qualifications & Experience
- PG degree (specialization in data analytics or related stream will be preferred).
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in quality assurance, accreditation, or higher education administration is mandatory
- Proficiency in advanced MS Office skills, Power BI/ Tableau particularly MS Excel is mandatory.
- Strong understanding of national and international accreditation frameworks
- Experience in data analysis, institutional assessment, and ranking methodologies.
- Excellent communication, project management, and leadership skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Prior experience in handling quality or accreditation-related tasks in a higher education institution.
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
- Expertise in data-driven decision-making for institutional development.
- Hands-on experience with Excel-based automation and reporting dashboards.
- Strong analytical skills and familiarity with assessment tools.
