Faculty Development Programme: Teaching Content to Shaping Capacities

The School of Architecture and Design, Manipal University Jaipur, successfully organized a five-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) titled “Teaching Content to Shaping Capacities” from 6th to 10th July 2026. The programme was conceived as a reflective and collaborative platform aimed at enabling faculty members to critically examine their pedagogical practices and reimagine their role as educators in a rapidly evolving academic and professional landscape.

The FDP addressed the shifting expectations from architecture and design education, emphasizing the transition from content delivery to the cultivation of critical thinking, creativity, adaptability, ethical responsibility, and lifelong learning among students.

The programme featured expert sessions, workshops, panel discussions, and interactive activities led by distinguished academicians including Prof. Sagar Gupta, Prof. Amit Gupta, Prof. Tapan Chakroborty, Dr. Parul Munjal, and Prof. Aruna Bharadwaj.

Through reflective dialogue, peer learning, and hands-on exercises, participants gained deeper insights into learner-centric approaches, curriculum alignment, and pedagogical innovation.
