About the Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE)

Established in 2020, the Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE) at Manipal University Jaipur (MUJ) provides quality higher education through flexible online learning to students across India and around the world. CDOE offers UGC-entitled online degree programmes in Management, Commerce, Computer Applications, Journalism and Mass Communication, Economics, and Mathematics under the UGC (ODL and Online Programmes) Regulations, 2020. The programmes cater to fresh graduates, working professionals, and lifelong learners seeking academic and career advancement. With over 86,000 active learners from more than 2,000 towns and cities in India and over 70 countries worldwide, CDOE has built a diverse and globally connected learning community. The Centre is supported by 100+ full-time faculty members, nearly 90% of whom hold doctoral qualifications, along with experienced industry experts and mentors. CDOE combines a robust digital learning ecosystem with academic mentoring, learner support services, and industry engagement to deliver a flexible and engaging learning experience. About the Conference

International Conference on Media, Communication and Global Society (ICMCGS 2027) is organising by the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, Centre for Distance and Online Education, Manipal University Jaipur, on 21-22 January 2027 in hybrid mode. ICMCGS 2027 aims to provide a vibrant international platform for academicians, researchers, media professionals, policymakers, development practitioners, industry leaders, scholars, and students to engage in critical discussions on emerging issues shaping contemporary societies. The conference will explore the dynamic intersections of media, communication, artificial intelligence, digital transformation, governance, sustainability, social development, public policy, and globalization. In an era marked by rapid technological advancement and evolving communication ecosystems, the conference seeks to foster interdisciplinary dialogue, promote innovative research, and encourage meaningful collaborations across academic, industry, and policy domains. The conference encourages interdisciplinary scholarship examining social change, public policy, globalization, inequality, migration, sustainability, governance, community development, and technological innovation from local, national, and global perspectives.
