The Directorate of Alumni Relations (DoAR) and Manipal University Jaipur Alumni Association (MUJAA), in association with the Department of Hotel Management (DoHM), organized an “Alumni Talk” for students of BHM (all semesters) and BBA-HTO (all semesters) on 27th March 2026 from 11:30 AM to 12:15 PM. The session featured distinguished alumna Ms. Surbhi Arora, Assistant Sales Manager at IHCL, as the keynote speaker. She delivered an insightful talk on the topic “The Latest Trends in the Hospitality Industry,” providing students with valuable exposure to current developments and emerging opportunities in the global hospitality sector.
During the session, Ms. Arora discussed the rapidly changing landscape of the hospitality industry, highlighting key trends such as digital transformation, personalized guest experiences, sustainable hospitality practices, wellness tourism, smart hotel technologies, contactless services, and the growing influence of social media and online reputation management. She explained how innovation and customer expectations are reshaping hotel operations, marketing strategies, and service delivery standards.
She also shared practical insights from her professional experience and emphasized the importance of adaptability, creativity, communication skills, and continuous learning for students aspiring to build successful careers in hospitality.
