The Directorate of Alumni Relations (DoAR) and Manipal University Jaipur Alumni Association (MUJAA), in association with the Department of Hotel Management (DoHM), organized an “Alumni Talk” for students of BHM (all semesters) and BBA-HTO (all semesters) on 27th March 2026 from 12:15 PM to 1:00 PM. The session featured distinguished alumnus Mr. Chitransh Paliwal, Sales Manager at Alila Fort Bishgarh, as the keynote speaker. He delivered an engaging and insightful talk on the topic “Sales and Marketing: An Alternative Career Path,” emphasizing the wide range of professional opportunities available beyond traditional hotel operations in the hospitality sector.

During the session, he shared his professional journey, industry experiences, and practical insights into the growing role of sales and marketing in driving business success, guest engagement, brand positioning, and revenue growth. He explained how hospitality professionals can build rewarding careers in areas such as corporate sales, key account management, customer relationship management, digital marketing, brand development, and business strategy.

Mr. Paliwal also guided students on the essential competencies required to excel in this domain, including communication skills, confidence, networking abilities, negotiation techniques, market awareness, leadership qualities, and adaptability to changing consumer trends.
