Content/Details (of the event): The Department of Commerce, Faculty of Management, Commerce & Arts, TAPMI School of Business, Manipal University Jaipur, in collaboration with ISDC, successfully organized Commerce Conclave 2026 on 18th March 2026 at Smt. Vasanti R Pai Auditorium, MUJ, on the theme “Beyond Balance Sheets: Reimagining Commerce Professions in the Age of AI.” The conclave brought together academia and industry on a common platform to discuss the changing landscape of commerce professions in the age of artificial intelligence.
We were deeply honoured that Prof. N. N. Sharma, President, Manipal University Jaipur, graced the inaugural session and delivered the Presidential Address, making the occasion even more memorable and inspiring for all present. The event was further enriched by the presence and addresses of Dr. Sunny Dawar, Head, Department of Commerce, and Prof. Brajesh Kumar, Dean, Faculty of Management, Commerce & Arts.
The conclave featured two engaging panel discussions. The first panel discussion, titled “The Invisible AI at Work: Skills Behind Modern Commerce Roles,” was moderated by Dr. Parthvi Rastogi and featured esteemed panel experts CA Anirudh Soni, CA Silky Mittal, CA CS Vaibhav Agiwal, and CA Amit Vijay. The session explored how AI is transforming modern commerce functions such as finance, accounting, taxation, audit, and analytics, and highlighted the skills required to remain relevant and future-ready.
The second panel discussion, titled “Employability in Commerce: Skills, Experience, and Professional Readiness,” was moderated by Dr. Swati Jain and featured distinguished panel experts CFA Viplav Jain, CMA Garvit Gupta, Ms. Reetika Sood, Mr. Mohit Sharma, and Mr. Rahul Mishra. The discussion offered valuable insights into employability, digital readiness, internships, industry expectations, and the evolving skill sets required for commerce graduates in an AI-powered world.
Through these meaningful discussions and expert interactions, Commerce Conclave 2026 reaffirmed the Department’s commitment to preparing students for the future of commerce through industry engagement, practical exposure, and forward-looking academic initiatives.
