The Department of Psychology successfully organized an engaging and insightful workshop on “Advances in Forensic Psychology: Assessment of Offenders and Principles of Criminal Profiling” on 6th April 2026. The session was led by Mrs. Pooja Tomar, M.Phil in Forensic Psychology, an empanelled psychologist with DLSA, Panchkula and the Delhi Juvenile Justice Board. Her expertise and practical exposure brought immense value to the learning experience. The workshop provided students with a deeper understanding of offender assessment and the scientific principles underlying criminal profiling. What made the session particularly impactful was the discussion of real-life cases and practical case studies, which helped bridge the gap between theoretical concepts and their application in the criminal justice system. Students actively participated throughout the session, reflecting keen interest and curiosity in the field. The workshop also highlighted the growing scope and career opportunities in forensic psychology, encouraging learners to explore this dynamic domain further.
