The Department of Electrical Engineering at Manipal University Jaipur conducted an online Industry Connect Lecture on 21st March 2026 for VI Semester B.Tech (ELC) students through Google Meet. The primary objective of the session was to bridge the gap between academic learning and industrial practices by introducing students to control systems used in Extra High Voltage (EHV) substations, supporting SDG 4 (Quality Education).

The lecture was delivered by Abhishek Das, Manager at ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel, and hosted by Dr. Peeyush Garg, Assistant Professor in the Electrical Engineering Department. The session focused on the topic “Basics of Control Systems at EHV Substations,” where the speaker explained fundamental concepts, system components, control mechanisms, and their practical implementation in real-world power systems.

The event primarily benefited VI Semester students, while faculty members and other attendees also gained valuable exposure to industry practices. The session was highly interactive, with students actively engaging in discussions and clarifying their doubts.
