With rising academic pressure, social expectations, and fast-paced lifestyle demands, anxiety has emerged as one of the most common mental health concerns among young adults today. Recognizing the urgent need to address student well-being, the Department of Psychology, in collaboration with the Rotaract Club, MUJ, organized a workshop titled “Decoding Anxiety: Recognition, Prevention, and Coping Strategies”. This Anxiety Awareness Workshop was a mental health–focused initiative that aimed at enhancing awareness, promoting understanding, and facilitating early identification of anxiety symptoms among students.
The session integrated psychoeducation, interactive discussions, experiential activities, and evidence-based coping techniques to help participants better understand the nature of anxiety and develop practical strategies to manage it effectively.
Through this engaging and informative session, participants gained valuable insights into recognizing early warning signs of anxiety, adopting preventive lifestyle practices, and applying adaptive coping mechanisms for improved mental health and overall quality of life.
