CIVIQ – Civil Engineering Quiz Competition was an academic quiz event organised by the ICI Student Chapter to strengthen subject understanding and promote healthy competition among Civil Engineering students. The quiz created an engaging platform where students could test their knowledge across core civil engineering domains through objective and visual-based questions, encouraging quick thinking and conceptual clarity.

Objectives of the Event are:

Reinforce conceptual understanding of core Civil Engineering subjects.
o Improve analytical thinking, accuracy, and speed under time limits.
Encourage healthy academic competition and teamwork.
Provide an interactive learning experience through objective and visual rounds.

CIVIQ was an academic quiz competition conducted by the ICI Student Chapter with the aim of strengthening technical knowledge and improving conceptual clarity in Civil Engineering. The event covered key subjects such as Transportation Engineering, Water Engineering, Highway Engineering, and allied areas, ensuring a broad and relevant question set for students across different academic years. The competition was organised in two rounds to test both speed and understanding. Round 1 consisted of 40 objective questions, designed to assess fundamental concepts and quick decision-making under time constraints. Based on the evaluation of Round 1, the top 10 teams were shortlisted for the final stage.

Round 2 was a more application-oriented round consisting of 20 visual interpretation questions, where participants analyzed images, diagrams, or engineering visuals to identify concepts and answer accurately. This round tested observation, practical understanding, and the ability to interpret civil engineering scenarios. The quiz was conducted in a structured manner with clear instructions, fair evaluation, and time-bound rounds. The event promoted teamwork, technical learning, and competitive spirit, making it both educational and engaging for participants and attendees.

Civil Engineering students improved conceptual clarity and analytical skills, while ICI Student Chapter members gained practical experience in coordination, evaluation, and event management.
