Manipal University Jaipur (MUJ), through the Department of Management, TAPMI School of Business, Faculty of Management, Commerce and Arts, successfully organized the BizDataTrust: Responsible Analytics for the AI-Driven Business World Datathon on November 6, 2025. The event was conducted in collaboration with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), Entrepreneurship Cell (E-Cell) MUJ, and Atal Incubation Centre – MUJ (AIC-MUJ).
The Datathon was designed to address one of the most critical challenges in contemporary business analytics—ensuring trust, accountability, and ethical responsibility in the use of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI). With the increasing adoption of AI-driven decision systems across industries, the event provided a timely platform for students to explore methods to detect, analyze, and mitigate AI hallucinations, bias, and data reliability issues.
The event commenced with an inaugural session led by Prof. (Dr.) Brajesh Kumar, Dean, Faculty of Management, Commerce and Arts, and CA (Dr.) Kamakshi Mehta, Head, Department of Management, TAPMI School of Business. In their addresses, they emphasized the role of higher education institutions in nurturing analytically skilled professionals who are equally grounded in ethical reasoning and responsible innovation.
A key highlight of the Datathon was the series of expert sessions delivered by distinguished industry and innovation leaders. Dr. Sandeep Joshi, CEO, Atal Incubation Centre, MUJ, Mr. Pravat Jena, AI CoE Leader, HealthAsys, and Dr. Vikash Raj, CEO, Investigen, shared valuable insights on responsible AI deployment, trustworthy analytics frameworks, and industry expectations from future data professionals. Their sessions helped participants connect theoretical concepts with real-world business applications.
The Datathon witnessed enthusiastic participation from 39 students across 13 teams, who worked intensively on real-world problem statements involving AI hallucination detection, bias assessment, validation workflows, and data visualization techniques. Participants developed analytical models, dashboards, and governance frameworks that demonstrated how human judgment and ethical controls can complement AI-driven insights to improve decision reliability.
The event concluded with team presentations and an award ceremony recognizing analytical rigor, innovation, and responsible AI application. The winning teams showcased creative yet practical solutions that reflected strong problem-solving abilities and a deep understanding of ethical analytics.
The BizDataTrust Datathon successfully reinforced MUJ’s commitment to fostering responsible innovation, data-driven decision-making, and industry-relevant learning experiences. The event not only enhanced participants’ technical and analytical skills but also sensitized them to the ethical responsibilities associated with emerging AI technologies, preparing them to become conscientious data professionals and business leaders of the future.
