The Department of Electrical Engineering at Manipal University Jaipur (MUJ) organized an Industrial Expert Lecture on the topic "MCCB Relays and Their Importance in Industrial Protection Systems". The lecture was held on 05 November 2025 (Wednesday), from 03:30 PM onwards at Room No. 118D, Block 1AB, Department of Electrical Engineering, MUJ. The session was led by Ms. Shruti Sharma, Graduate Engineering Trainee at Schneider Electric India, a reputed company in the field of electrical and automation solutions.

The primary objective of the lecture was to educate students on the essential role that MCCB (Molded Case Circuit Breakers) relays play in industrial protection systems, covering both analog and digital applications in modern industrial environments. The session aimed to enhance students' understanding of electrical safety systems and their real-world applications in industrial setups. The session contributes to SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) and SDG 4 (Quality Education), by promoting the understanding of advanced industrial technologies and safety systems that are essential for the development of resilient infrastructure and provide better quality of education and learning to students.

The primary beneficiaries of the event were the students of the Department of Electrical Engineering, who gained insight into the application of electrical protection systems in industrial settings. Additionally, faculty members and researchers also benefited by expanding their knowledge of modern technologies used in industrial protection.

The event began with an introductory session by Dr. Peeyush Garg, who welcomed the guest speaker and the students. Ms. Shruti Sharma delivered a detailed lecture on the topic, explaining the fundamental working of MCCB relays and their importance in industrial protection. She elaborated on both analog and digital systems and their application in maintaining safety and stability in modern industrial systems. The session also covered practical insights and recent advancements in MCCB relay technology. The lecture concluded with a Q&A session, where students had the opportunity to clarify doubts and engage in discussions.
