Department of Psychology organized a workshop on the theme “Bridge to Belongingness: A Journey from Isolation to Inclusion.” Being alone and social loneliness have become significant public health concerns in the modern age. The resource person was Prof. (Dr.) Sushma Suri from the Department of Psychology, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. She received the Young Scholar Award (Okonji/Witkin) in 1992 from the International Association for Cross-Cultural Psychology, Liege, Belgium, and the Advanced Research and Training Award in 1994 from the University of Saarland, Saarbrucken, Germany.

This workshop was well received by the young students as it equipped them with strategies to move from loneliness to a feeling of belongingness and living a positive and healthy life.
