Advertisement for Research Assistant Position in ICSSR-Sponsored Project Evolving Genealogies: Lineage, Succession, Inheritance Practices, and Family Law in Contemporary Indian Families – A Historical and Empirical Exploration
Online Applications are invited for the position of one Research Assistant to work under the project titled Evolving Genealogies: Lineage, Succession, Inheritance Practices, and Family Law in Contemporary Indian Families – A Historical and Empirical Exploration. | Essential Qualification(s) | Post-graduate in any social science discipline (55% minimum) with NET / M.Phil. / Ph.D. |
| Desirable | Prior experience in field work, data integration, and compilation. Good knowledge of research methodology. The job profile requires the research associate to be on campus and to conduct fieldwork as needed, per the project\'s requirements. |
| Fellowship | As per ICSSR norms, with emoluments of Rs. 37,000/- INR. |
| Duration | One Year, starting from May 1st, 2026 to 31st April 2027. |

- The PI/field investigators may travel along when the field work is organized. However, the cost of filed visit will be covered as per the ICSSR guidelines.
