Advertisement for Position of Project Research Scientist I (Non-Medical) under ICMR-funded project

Manipal University Jaipur is inviting applications from eligible and qualified candidates for the recruitment to the post Project Research Scientist I (Non-Medical) under ICMR-funded project named as Targeting Cancer Stem Cells in Oral Cancer: Multimodal BUB1 Inhibitor-Loaded Nanoparticles for Enhanced Chemo-Sensitization.

Principal Investigator (PI): Dr. Rajeev Nema, Associate Professor, Department of Biosciences, MUJ.

Duration: 3 Years (Initial appointment for 1 year; extendable based on performance).

Emoluments: ₹56,000/- + HRA per month (as per ICMR norms).

Eligibility Criteria

1. Essential Qualifications

Candidates must meet one of the following:

First Class Post Graduate Degree (M.Sc./M.Tech) in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Nanotechnology, Biochemistry, or a related field.

Second Class Post Graduate Degree in the above subjects, plus a Ph.D. in a relevant discipline.

2. Desirable Skills & Experience

Priority will be given to candidates with:

Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience in Nanoparticle Synthesis, characterization, and Cell Culture (specifically cancer cell lines).

Molecular Biology: Proficiency in Flow Cytometry, Western Blotting, and BUB1 signaling pathways.

Computational Skills: Bioinformatics, Drug Discovery, and Molecular Simulations.

Certifications: Valid NET (CSIR/UGC/ICMR) or GATE qualification.

Soft Skills: Strong scientific writing for reports and manuscript preparation.

3. Age Limit

Upper Age Limit: 35 years.

Relaxation for SC/ST/OBC candidates as per Government of India rules.
