Kala Mahotsav 2018
Wednesday 17thJANUARY 2018, Department of Fine Arts (Applied Art), FOD, Manipal University Jaipur, participated in 5 day "2nd KALA MAHOTSAV" organized by Pratibha Educational Development Research Society (PEDRS) at Jawahar Kala Kendra JAIPUR. It is an acclaimed Art, Design & Craft fair of Rajasthan wherein many artists & institutions display their artworks and bring forth their creativity to art lovers and general public. It was inaugurated by a renowned sculptor of India, Mr Himmat Shah along with other senior dignitaries of Art & Design. The fair is accomplished with several creative design workshops, Talk Shows and Panel Discussions by acclaimed professionals actively working in the field of Design. To our honor, Prof (Dr) Anantkumar Ozarkar, Head Dept of Fine Arts and Dr Pooja Jain Assistant Professor Dept of Fine Arts has also been invited as Guest Speakers for Panel Discussions in individual sessions.
The main objective of this participation was intended to expose the students to the art fraternity and to enable them interact with veteran artists of Rajasthan and expose them to an open art platform. Our Students work got appreciations from the Chief Guest, every visitor and individual artist who visited the stall and this brought laurels to the department and to MUJ as a whole. The festival concluded on Sunday 21st January 2018.
