Society Connect Program by Department of Mechanical Engineering
The Mechanical Engineering department in collaboration with Gramiksha conducted an event 15 February 2019 at the Government Senior Secondary School in Dehmi Kalan, Jaipur.
The event was conducted by the faculty members and students of along with the volunteers from Gramiksha.
The faculty members involved in the activities were Prof RKGupta, Dr Anand Pandey, Dr Ashish Goyal, and Alok AnsuThe students from the department was mainly from 2 and 4 . Total number of students present during the activity is 30. The event was conducted for the students of class 11 12, and was conducted in two sessions.
In the first session, the students were given career counselling to guide them to choose a suitable career path for their future and guided them through the steps to make the right choices and encourage them to pursue further studies. In the second session mainly the technical activities were carried out. The students were advised to use the natural resources. Information was shared related to solar water heater, solar cooker and Solar water distillation. 4 students and the coordinator (society ) give a brief talk on solar water distillation with the help of flexes. The motive of this session was to give students an insight about the of alternative resources of the nature. The session in three hours and was concluded a photo session.
