The School of Architecture & Design, Manipal University Jaipur, in collaboration with the Indian Buildings Congress (IBC) – Rajasthan Chapter, Indian Plumbing Association, IGBC – student chapter MUJ, Heritage Club and Bio Diversity Club, organized a study visit to the Dravyavati River Front, Jaipur, aligned with World Water Day. B.Arch students participated in the visit, accompanied by Dr. Subhash Chandra Devrath and Ar. Akshay Gupta. The initiative was guided by Shri K.C. Meena (President, IBC Rajasthan) and Prof. (Dr.) Madhura Yadav (Honorary Secretary, IBC Rajasthan), whose support in pre-event planning, site selection, and academic structuring ensured meaningful learning outcomes. The visit provided practical exposure to river rejuvenation, wastewater management, and sustainable infrastructure. Students observed key interventions such as channel improvement, landscape development, and pedestrian-friendly public spaces integrated with ecological systems. The experience strengthened their understanding of sustainable urban design, demonstrating how degraded river systems can be transformed into resilient and inclusive public environments through interdisciplinary planning.
