The Department of Electrical Engineering, in collaboration with E-Cell, MUJ, organized a workshop titled “Smart Grid Innovations: Anomaly Detection in AGC Systems with Entrepreneurial Insights” on 9th October 2025. The workshop, led by Mohammad Yasir Nazir, Senior Research Fellow at IIT Roorkee, focused on key topics including cyber-physical systems, the AGC framework in the Indian grid, and a case study on THDC and NLDC. It also featured a live demonstration of a hack-detection prototype combining both hardware and software. The session aimed to provide attendees with a comprehensive understanding of smart grid technology, its security aspects, and entrepreneurial opportunities in the field. The online event attracted participants from various backgrounds, offering valuable insights into the integration of innovation and security in modern energy systems.
