The School of Architecture & Design, under the Faculty of Science, Technology & Architecture, in collaboration with the Heritage Club, Manipal University Jaipur, conducted a one-day educational tour titled “Unfolding Layers of Landscape, Memory & Spiritual Architecture in Dharamshala” on 5th April 2025.

Set against the dramatic backdrop of the Dhauladhar mountain range, this academically driven exploration immersed students in a spectrum of architectural experiences—from terraced agricultural landscapes and regional sports infrastructure to commemorative spaces and sacred Tibetan architecture. The intent was to sharpen students' ability to read complex spatial narratives, understand landscape integration, and engage with architecture that communicates meaning beyond function.

This event reinforced the value of critical site engagement, cultural sensitivity, and architectural storytelling in contemporary design education.
