The School of Architecture and Design, in collaboration with the Directorate of Entrepreneurship Cell, organized an expert talk and workshop on "Prototype/Process Design and Development" on 14th April 2025. The session, conducted by Mr. Sahil Suman, Communications Lead at the Telangana Innovation Cell (TGIC), Government of Telangana, was designed for both UG and PG students in School of Architecture and Design, catering to distinct academic objectives.
For master's students specializing in landscape and research-driven design, the workshop provided a structured framework for transforming conceptual research into viable, process-oriented prototypes. Mr. Suman emphasized iterative development models and innovation pathways, encouraging students to critically apply these to evolving landscape systems and site-responsive interventions. Simultaneously, for bachelor's students engaged in visual arts and foundational design studios, the session offered a dynamic introduction to design thinking and hands-on prototyping. Through engaging activities and collaborative ideation, students explored how initial sketches and conceptual models can evolve into refined, user-centered design solutions.
This interdisciplinary initiative not only strengthened technical and creative competencies but also introduced emerging professionals to entrepreneurial thinking, aligning with broader educational goals of innovation, application, and impact in the built environment disciplines.
