A master class on the topic "thermal comfort and indoor air quality strategies" was organized on Thursday, 08 February 2024 by the ASHRAE Manipal University Jaipur Student Branch at Manipal University Jaipur campus. Students from design and engineering background attended the event along with faculties, ASHARE members and Industry experts. The session commenced with the welcome address by Dr. (Prof.) Madhura Yadav, Dean, Faculty of Design, Manipal University Jaipur, and Student Activity Chair, ASHRAE Rajasthan Chapter in which she spoke about the importance of sustainability and pivotal role of ASHRAE for sustainable bult environment. The speakers for the session were Dr. Shivraj Dhaka, President, ASHRAE Rajasthan Chapter and Dr. Yash Kumar Shukla, Regional vice chair of student activities for region-at-large (RVC-SA, RAL), ASHRAE, who outlined the importance of HVAC, ASHRAE, importance of thermal comfort and indoor air quality in our lives and the benefits of ASHRAE membership for students. Mr. Sailesh Verma, Treasurer, ASHRAE Rajasthan Chapter was also present for the event, and he spoke about managing thermal comfort in our daily lives. The master class successfully engaged the audience and gave them a great learning opportunity regarding the thermal comfort and role of the buildings and their systems in achieving them.
