Brief Description of the event

To create awareness regarding Biotechnology, Chemical, and Civil Engineering and the exciting career opportunities therein, the Departments of Biotechnology & Chemical Engg and Civil Engg organize an Online Student Idea Challenge 2023. This is the third successive year of the organization, after good participation from contestant students. This year's broad theme is "Energy and Environmental Conservation".

College students (UG and above) in Science and Engineering domains are given the Idea Challenge topic, "Technologies for Green Hydrogen Production In India" and will be invited to submit their mini-proposals to a panel of faculty at MUJ. Green hydrogen has the potential to replace fossil fuels, including natural gas, either as a source of energy or as a feedstock, thereby contributing to a reduction in dependence on the import of fossil fuels in India. Proposals will be evaluated on their merits, and the winners will receive attractive prizes. The winners would be announced in an award ceremony.

Objectives of the Event

• 1.Exposure of students to Biotechnology, Chemical, and Civil Engineering domains.
• 2. Develop problem-solving skills in the students.
• 3. Provide useful inputs to industry for developing real systems.
• 4. Facilitate R&D collaboration efforts between the university and other institutions.
