A study tour was organized by School of Architecture & Design (MUJ) in collaboration with Heritage Club, for the students of Bachelors of Architecture, Manipal University Jaipur. The students of 1st, 2nd and 3rd year B.Arch received an opportunity to study the architectural and socio-cultural aspects of various cities including Chittorgarh, Udaipur, Ahmedabad, Bhuj, Dholavira and Mount Abu. Early morning, the journey was commenced for Dholavira. It is one of the largest and most prominent sites of the Harappan (Indus Valley) Civilization, dating back to around 4500 years ago. Dholavira is an ancient archaeological site located in the Kutch district of Gujarat, India which is famous for its principles of urban planning, city design, ancient water management systems and standardized artifacts.
