A study tour was organized by School of Architecture & Design (MUJ) in collaboration with Heritage Club, for the students of Bachelors of Architecture, Manipal University Jaipur. The students of 1st, 2nd and 3rd year B.Arch received an opportunity to study the architectural and socio-cultural aspects of various cities including Chittorgarh, Udaipur, Ahmedabad, Bhuj, Dholavira and Mount Abu. The students were taken to Bhuj, a historic city in the Kutch district of Gujarat, India, known for its earthquake resilient and disaster management in architecture, since after the major earthquake of 2001. While on the contrary, Rann of Kutch is a vast salt marsh in the Thar Desert, spanning parts of Gujarat and Sindh in Pakistan which is strikingly famous white desert surreal landscape.
