SA&D + Heritage Club: A Day in Ahmedabad: Study Tour Day 3

A study tour was organized by School of Architecture & Design (MUJ) in collaboration with Heritage Club, for the students of Bachelors of Architecture, Manipal University Jaipur. The students of 1st, 2nd and 3rd year B.Arch received an opportunity to study the architectural and socio-cultural aspects of various cities including Chittorgarh, Udaipur, Ahmedabad, Bhuj, Dholavira and Mount Abu. Ahmedabad, being a UNESCO World Heritage City has a lot to offer to the students of architecture, from its architectural marvels ranging from historic era to the contemporary ones innovating new construction technologies and details just about on a daily basis. The marvelous level of construction being carried out in the city is shocking. Hence, to learn the campus planning design, construction details and technologies, the students were taken to Tagore Hall, Sanskar Kendra, NID Campus, CEPT Campus and Surya Kakani's studio office before taking a heritage walk in the walled city area.
