Dr. Yask Kulshreshtha is an innovator and interdisciplinary researcher with a strong foundation in Civil Engineering, Architecture, and Material Science. A Ph.D. graduate from Delft University of Technology (TU Delft), Netherlands, he is globally recognized for pioneering work on sustainable construction materials, particularly the scientific reinvention of traditional earthen building techniques using cow dung and local resources.
Currently, Dr. Kulshreshtha serves as an R&D Advisor and Co-founder of CoolBricks, a Netherlands-Uganda based startup focused on delivering affordable housing solutions. His work has been supported by over €600,000 in competitive international grants, and his innovations such as MooBricks and CoRncrete have gained global attention for combining bio-based science with practical, scalable housing solutions.
Dr. Kulshreshtha’s academic contributions span journal articles, international presentations, and science communication through high-impact videos and exhibitions. He has also served as a visiting lecturer at TU Delft and guided multiple research projects across continents. He is presently contributing to academia as an Adjunct Professor, sharing his global experiences and insights in sustainable materials, ecological construction, and innovation with students at Manipal University Jaipur. His vision is to bridge scientific research, design thinking, and grassroots impact to foster a sustainable built environment.
