Prof. (Dr.) Ashok Kumar Tiwari is currently working as Vice President, UltraTech Cement Ltd. He has a rich experience of over 34 years in Cement & Concrete Industry in diversified role of Technical Manager, Consultant, Academician and Construction Engineer. He has key roles and learnings in Technical Services, Research & Consultancy with skill development, influencer management, brand outreach and prestigious student engagement. He has set-ups of product development of new concrete products, concrete admixtures and concrete repair materials, collaborated with prestigious universities such as CEPT Ahmedabad and IITs & NITs. He has taught various Civil Engineering subjects including Concrete Constructions, Temporary Structures, Concrete Technology, Maintenance & Repair, and guided 35 research projects/dissertations. He has also contributed to various codes & standards, Indian Standards, Technical Committee of BIS, RDSO, IRC and other Bureau of Indian Standards. Executive Vice President, Indian Concrete Institute for 2010-11, and Elected Director – American Concrete Institute, India Chapter for 2009-11 and 2013-17; member of American Concrete Institute (ACI) and Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) committees. He has been Board of studies at MNIT Jaipur and MNIT, Allahabad, NIT, Kurukshetra, GIDAU, and AIT, Bangkok. Member Research Advisory Board and Infrastructure Development Committee at National Council for Cement & Building Materials; member, Indian Road Congress - Rigid Pavement Division.
