Dr Santosh K. Vishwakarma is the HoD - Department of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Manipal University Jaipur, with effect from December 01, 2022. He is currently working as Associate Professor (Senior Scale), Department of Computer Science and Engineering, School of Computer Science and Engineering, Manipal University Jaipur.

Dr Santosh K. Vishwakarma received his Ph.D. (CSE) in 2015, M.Tech. (CSE) in 2008 and B.E. (CSE) in 2003 from Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya, State Technical University of Madhya Pradesh, Bhopal, India. He has a rich and diversified experience of more than 19 Years in academics, research, and administration. He has been associated with Manipal University Jaipur since September 2019.

Dr Santosh has been in various administrative capacities in his previous organization as Director (Quality & Compliance, Research), Coordinator & Chairman for different Academic Committees including TEQIP-III Project at RGPV, Bhopal funded by MHRD. He has driven various accreditation programs at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

He possesses special interest in practical aspects of databases and plays a significant role in aligning department courses with Oracle Academy, marking 1200+ certifications of students & faculty in a single academic year for the OA DFo Course. His research area includes education technology, predictive analysis, information retrieval models, term weighting & pruning strategies and related areas. He has authored 16 high impact quality research articles in various peer-reviewed (SCI indexed/Scopus) International Journals, and more than 40 research papers in peer-reviewed International/National conference proceedings. He has already supervised 2 Ph.D. thesis and 21 MTech. dissertations, and currently supervising 3 Ph.D. thesis.
