About Faculty of Engineering

OVERVIEW

In the Faculty of Engineering we have nearly 9000 students and ~ 350 dedicated engineering and basic science faculty members. Each one brings their own individuality, interest and skills. Their collective dedication and passion weaves a beautiful academic tapestry that characterizes our values and aspirations, and propels us forward. For this I am most grateful to each member of this FOE family.

From the Faculty of Engineering, we offer nineteen BTech courses, six MTech courses, and a robust PhD program. These provide a comprehensive educational platform catering to a diverse student community. To stay at the forefront of emerging fields and technologies, we recently introduced new BTech programs in BioTechnology, Computer Science & BioSciences, and Electronics and Communications Engineering with specialization in VLSI. These program have been well received from our students. This academic year, we are excited to introduce BTech in CSE (Cyber Security) and BTech in Robotics & AI.

In this academic year, we passed a significant milestone as we revamped our BTech engineering curriculum and aligned it with contemporary trends and global standards. The introduction of a modern, innovative, and choice-based credit system, empowers our students to tailor their educational experiences, ensuring they are well-equipped to meet the challenges of the ever-evolving technological landscape. As part of these curricular updates, we have collaborated with top companies like Dell, Intel and PwC to curate new courses, ensuring our students are industry-ready from Day 1.

I am delighted to share that an impressive 95% of our students secured placements in top-tiered national and multi-national corporation. Truly a testament to the quality of education and training they receive at Manipal University Jaipur, as well as their hard work and diligence. Moreover, our students are continually sought after by international universities for Master's programs, underscoring the global recognition and competitiveness of our academic programs.

As we celebrate these achievements, I salute the collaborative efforts of our faculty, staff, students, and alumni, not just in Engineering, but across the University. Their unwavering commitment to excellence and continuous improvement drives everyone’s success at MUJ.
