Aravind Chinchure holds a PhD in Physics and is a purpose-driven innovation and strategy leader with over 25 years of global experience. His expertise spans research & development, technology development, innovation management, business growth initiatives, entrepreneurship & intrapreneurship development, startup investment, intellectual property management, and education. He has worked with renowned multinational and Indian corporations and has also ventured into entrepreneurship with startup ventures.
Till recently, Aravind served as a CEO of Deshpande Startups, one of the largest startup incubators in India. Before joining Deshpande Startups, he founded QLeap Academy focused on creating 21st century professionals and leaders in the areas of Industry 4.0 and Innovation. He has worked extensively in academic and industrial organizations including Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (Mumbai), Kammerlingh Onnes Laboratory (Leiden, Netherlands), General Electric Global Research Centre (Bangalore), Honeywell Technology Solutions (Bangalore), and Reliance Innovation Leadership Centre (Pune). He is recipient of research fellowships from the European Union, Dutch Academy of Sciences, Max-Planck Institute, Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR) and Department of Science & Technology. He has authored 28 research articles published in international journals in the area of condensed matter physics and has filed 4 patents as lead and co-inventor in different geographies including US, Europe, Japan in the area of fuel cells.
