MUOET 2017 Rank Holders

Eligibility: The candidate must have passed 10+2 or A Level or IB or American 12th grade or equivalent examination with Physics, English, and Mathematics as Compulsory subjects, along with any one of Chemistry or Computer Science or Biotechnology or Biology or Statistics or Engineering Drawing as optional subject for admission to B Tech, with minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Mathematics and the optional subject, put together.

Admissions are done on the basis of rank in the All India Manipal Online Entrance Test (MUOET) 2017.

Direct admission

Eligibility: For direct admission (in branches where seats are likely to remain vacant) the following candidates will be eligible:

All remaining MUOET rank holders, i.e., those who did not/could not come for counselling

OR

All students who have a JEE rank and have qualified for JEE Advanced in that year         

OR

All other Students with Physics, Maths and English as compulsory subjects and who have 60% or equivalent (in PMx subjects) in their 12th std. (where x could be Chemistry, Computers Science, Biotechnology, Biology, Statistics, Engineering Drawing).

Admissions are done on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination.

B Tech (Lateral Entry) For Diploma Holders in all above mentioned branches. 

Candidates are admitted directly to second year.

Eligibility:  Candidate who have passed 3 year diploma in relevant field of engineering with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate can apply for Lateral Entry to relevant B Tech Programmes.

Admissions are done on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination and there is no entrance test.

Eligibility: The candidates must have passed BTech/BE/ AMIE in the respective/related branch of engineering with minimum 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA.

Admissions are done on the basis of Personal Interview (PI) & marks obtained in the qualifying examination. There is no entrance test.

Eligibility: The candidate must have obtained a Master’s degree (10+2+3+2) pattern or equivalent in that order) of MUJ or any other University recognized by UGC as equivalent thereto, in the relevant subject with not less than 55%* marks or CGPA of 5.5 and above in the 10 point scale.

(*5% relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/Specially abled candidates)

Admission Procedure: Selection of research scholars is based on their performance in both written test and interview, conducted by the University twice a year (June and December). The candidate must clear the university PhD entrance examination.

Bachelor of Architecture (B Arch)

Eligibility: A candidate must have a minimum of 40% marks in All India National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) conducted by the Council of Architecture (COA) or any other especially designed aptitude test in Architecture conducted by competent authority of Central/State Government and must have passed one of the following courses with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.

10+2 or IB Diploma with Mathematics as a compulsory subject

OR

3 year Diploma (any stream) recognized by Central/State Government

 

Admissions are done on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination & NATA score/aptitude test in Architecture conducted by competent authority of Central/State Government.

B Des – Fashion Design

Eligibility: 50% marks in aggregate in the new 10+2 scheme of Senior School Certificate Examination or equivalent in any stream

OR

Any Public School/Board/University Examination in India or in Foreign countries recognized by the Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to 10+2 system

OR

International Baccalaureate Diploma after 10 Years of Schooling, with not less than 50% marks in aggregate.

Admissions are done on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination.

Bachelor of Hotel Management (BHM)

Eligibility: The candidate must have passed 10+2 standard or A Level or IB or American 12th Grade of equivalent with minimum of 45% marks in aggregate in any discipline.

Age limit: A student must be between 17 and 22 years of age as on 1st July of the admission year

Eligibility: Minimum 50% marks in 10+2 or its equivalent

Eligibility: Minimum 60% marks in 10+2 or its equivalent

M Com in Financial Analysis

Eligibility: The candidate must have passed in B.Com, BBA or its equivalent exam with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.

Admissions are done on the basis of marks obtained   in the qualifying examination.

(Marketing & Finance)

Eligibility: Minimum 50% marks in Xth, XIIth & Graduation (any stream) PLUS Minimum 50 percentile score in either CAT/MAT/XAT/GMAT/ CMAT/TSB MAT, PLUS Clearance of GD/PI/Presentation/English communication rounds.

 

Admission Procedure: Based on the combined marks scored in Academics, Entrance test, GD, Presentation & Interview, and English comprehension test and previous work experience, a merit list will be drawn to select the students for the programme.

Eligibility: The candidate must have passed 10+2 examination in any discipline with at least 55% marks and having Mathematics as one of the subject at Matriculation examination level.

M.Sc.

(Biotechnology & Chemistry)

Eligibility: The candidate must have a BSc. from recognized university (minimum marks: 50% in aggregate). 

Admissions are done on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination.

M.Sc. by Research

(Physics, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Mathematics)

 

Eligibility: The candidate must have a Bachelor of Science Degree with minimum 50 % in aggregate in the concerned discipline e.g. Physics/Chemistry/Mathematics/Botany/Bioscience/BioTechnology/Zoology/Statistics as applicable from a recognized university. In addition the candidate must have aptitude for research.

Candidates from R & D institutions who are sponsored by their institution and granted leave for two semesters will also be considered for the programme.

Admissions are done on the basis of marks obtained   in the qualifying examination.

Eligibility: The candidate must have minimum 50% (45% for SC/ST) marks in any subject/stream of 10+2 examinations and should be below 20 years (22 years in case of SC/ST candidates) of age on 1st July 2017.

Eligibility: The candidate must have passed in Graduation with one subject as Economics / Maths / Statistics.

Eligibility: The candidate must have passed a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university.

Eligibility: The candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in Law with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate (48% for SC/ST) from a recognized university.

Admissions are done on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination & MUJ written entrance test.

M.A./ M.Sc. (Clinical Psychology)

Eligibility: Any candidate with a Bachelor degree from a UGC /AIU recognized University with 50% aggregate marks and psychology or any related course (Child psychology, psychiatry, educational psychology, counselling, psychotherapy, etc.) as one of the papers is eligible.

Foreign/NRI Candidates

 

As per the AICTE regulations, for all programmes 5% of the total seats are reserved for foreign/NRI category. Under this category, MUJ admits NRI sponsored students whose parents or blood relatives can sponsor. Sponsors are required to submit a Notarized Affidavit stating their relationship with the candidate.
