International Conference on Building Sustainable Futures: A Collaborative Approach Integrating Arts, Humanities, and Economic Perspectives ICBSF -2025

FROM 11 Sep 2025 TO 12 Sep 2025

Venue : Hybrid Mode @

1. Introduction:

The urgent need for sustainable futures demands innovative and multifaceted solutions. The conference, "Building Sustainable Futures: A Collaborative Approach Integrating Arts, Humanities, and Economic Perspectives," recognizes that such solutions cannot emerge from a single discipline. Instead, it champions a powerful synergy, bringing together the critical insights of the Arts and Humanities – fostering creativity, cultural understanding, and ethical reflection – with the analytical rigor and practical frameworks of economics. By fostering dialogue and collaboration across these vital fields, we aim to explore novel pathways towards a more just, equitable, and environmentally sound future for all. This interdisciplinary approach will enable us to address the complex challenges of sustainability with a richer, more nuanced, and ultimately more effective lens. 1

Conversely, the conference will also examine how academic frameworks, methodologies, and critical perspectives can support, validate, and scale community-led initiatives. By creating a platform for dialogue and exchange, the conference aim to foster partnerships that move beyond conventional approaches, recognizing the inherent value and complementarity of diverse knowledge systems. This conference invites researchers, practitioners, community leaders, and policymakers to explore critical questions related to theme.

2. Objectives:

  1. To Foster Interdisciplinary Dialogue and Collaboration: Facilitate meaningful exchange and the formation of collaborative partnerships among scholars, practitioners, and policymakers from the arts, humanities, and economics to address the multifaceted challenges of sustainability.
  2. To Explore the Unique Contributions of Each Discipline: Investigate and highlight the specific and vital roles that the arts (in fostering creativity and cultural understanding), the humanities (in promoting ethical reflection and historical context), and economics (in providing analytical frameworks and resource management strategies) play in shaping sustainable futures.
  3. To Identify Innovative and Integrated Solutions: Generate novel, interdisciplinary approaches and solutions to complex sustainability issues by synthesizing insights and methodologies from the arts, humanities, and economics.
  4. To Promote a Holistic Understanding of Sustainability: Encourage a comprehensive understanding of sustainability that encompasses not only environmental and economic dimensions but also social, cultural, and ethical considerations, enriched by the perspectives of all three fields.
  5. To Disseminate Knowledge and Inspire Action: Share cutting-edge research, innovative practices, and policy recommendations arising from the interdisciplinary discussions to wider academic, public, and policy-making audiences, thereby inspiring concrete action towards building sustainable futures.
