Prof (Dr) Suman Chakraborty is appointed as Head, Department of Economics, TAPMI School of Business, Faculty of Management, Commerce and Arts, Manipal University Jaipur, with effect from January 12, 2026.

Prof (Dr) Suman Chakraborty joined the Manipal Academy of Higher Education in August 2017, where he served in multiple academic and administrative capacities, including Associate Professor and Academic Head. He continues to be an active doctoral supervisor under the MAHE research ecosystem. Currently, he is serving as a Professor in the Department of Business Administration, Manipal University Jaipur.

Dr Suman Chakraborty completed his undergraduate studies and earned his master’s degree from Jai Narain Vyas University, Jodhpur. He obtained his Doctorate in Financial Markets from Utkal University, Bhubaneswar, and has 25 years of corporate and academic experience. Dr. Chakraborty’s teaching and academic expertise include Corporate Finance, Business Valuation, Investment Banking, Financial Analytics, Portfolio Management, and Financial Derivatives, delivered across undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs.
